I often find that keeping a photo simple is sometimes the key to a successful image. I’m not saying that this photo is outstanding by any means, but it is an image which is usable in many ways. I shot it a few days ago whilst on a job for a good commercial client who is in the shipping/marine industry. Seemed simple at the time but the use of a long lens and a little tweak in Lightroom made my client over the moon. I didn’t realise it and they didn’t tell me they were desperate for an image for the wraparound cover of their annual report. This was their saviour!
