Day 2 of the Townsville 400

Today for me was day 2 of the Townsville 400 but it was the first official day of ‘cars on track’. Premier Anna Bligh and former Liverpool star Robbie ‘God’ Fowler had “hot laps” which was probably the highlight picture wise. The photographer positions to actually shoot the race are terrible, normally there are actual cut-outs in the fencing to allow us to shoot through with long lenses but at the Townsville track there are virtually none at all. Hopefully the track staff will come through tonight with angle grinders and give us better access tomorrow… Fingers crossed!

You won’t catch me running!

Spent the day today chasing the Queensland premier around. 5.30am start too which is a real drag. Anyway, the day started with a run along Townsville’s Strand…. and anyone who knows me knows that running isn’t my thing as you will see below. Last thing I saw were all the other media racing for Toys R Us on scooter-buying missions!
