Shot my first game of professional football (soccer) at the weekend. The newly established North Queensland Fury FC took on the Brisbane Roar in a pre-season match in their home city of Townsville. The Fury won the game 1-0 thanks to an own goal by Socceroo fullback Craig Moore. Here’s a couple of snaps from the game… The season proper kicks off in Townsville on 8th August.

Shot a job on Saturday for the North Queensland Fury FC who are making their debut in Australia’s A-League this season. Was a beautiful day at Riverway with thousands of Townsville families making the most of the winter weather. Spotted football tricksters Colin and Chris and shot a quick iPhone video of them, pretty cool!
Here’s a few pics from the day

Today was Robbie Fowler’s first public training session with his new team, the North Queensland Fury FC. Unfortunately I was away on an assignment and couldn’t make it. A colleague of mine, Ian Hitchcock who shoots for Getty Images was there and put together a nice set of pics that you can check out at this link
Robbie Fowler lands in Townsville

Most thought this day would never come. Former England international and Liverpool star Robbie Fowler signing with debut A-League team North Queensland Fury FC? Well it happened and today he jetted into town for a two year stint with the fledgling club. About 150 supporters welcomed Fowler at the airport before he spared time for local, national and international media at a press function. I was there and shot video of the conference and pics which have been distributed internationally.
