Was just enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon beer when this storm rolled in. Lasted only 10 mins but in that time it knocked down a few trees and raised my pool level by 30mm. Didn’t think I’d see that this arvo! (Shot on my iPhone)
A couple of NRL seasons ago I went to the aboriginal community of Palm Island with Melbourne Storm players Greg Inglis and Will Chambers. Who would have thought that a couple of years later this photo could sum up the feelings of fans and many of the players.
Greg had “Premiers ’07″ tattoed on his chest right near his heart after the Storm won the 2007 NRL premiership. Now, after they have been stripped of both the 2007 and 2009 premierships it must pain him to even look in the mirror.
I’ve had quite a few people ask me recently about what happens with and who uses the photographs I shoot at NRL games. I have included clippings of the way major metro papers used my pics – they include the Sunday Mail & The Courier-Mail (QLD), Daily Telegraph (NSW) and the Herald Sun and the Sunday Herald Sun (VIC).
Shot this quick timelapse video while racing around the front lawn with the mower before we got even more rain.

I took a helicopter from Giru down to Airlie Beach yesterday to photograph flooding in the region. Apart from many sections of the highway being cut the damage didn’t appear to be too bad. At least I managed to get a page one pic that helped alleviate the cost of the charter! I have put a bunch of pics on my site so wander over and have a look (link below).
UPDATE 15 JAN 2008: Conditions in Townsville were terrible this morning with a massive low centred directly over the city. I have added pics from today as well to my site.
